Bozeman’s dinner plans are earning national attention. Shan’s 2024 James Beard nomination is a good reason for food lovers to look beyond Main Street and explore the Cannery District.

A national nomination

The James Beard Foundation named Shan a 2024 Best New Restaurant nominee. It is an exciting recognition for a Bozeman restaurant and another sign of the range of cooking visitors can discover here. The nomination is distinct from winning the award.

A Cannery District destination

Shan opened in April 2023, drawing on its founders’ culinary experiences in Asia. Its cooking takes inspiration from northern Thailand and southwestern China, using local products. Find it at 109 East Oak Street in the Cannery District, a separate dining destination north of the Main Street core.

Plan the dinner before the day fills up

Browse the current menu, reserve through the restaurant’s official website, and tell the restaurant about dietary requirements in advance. From Loft503 or Vintage Estate, plan your route to the Cannery District rather than assuming it is another Main Street stop. A reserved table can anchor the evening after a day exploring Bozeman.

Plan your visit

A downtown place to come back to

Loft503 sleeps up to four, while Vintage Estate sleeps up to eight across its historic home and suites. For other group sizes, explore Vintage House, sleeping six, or Rouse House, sleeping two. Individual V1 and V2 bookings become available within 30 days of arrival when not already reserved as part of a larger stay.

We recommend booking early for popular weekends. Check Loft503 dates, check Vintage Estate dates, or browse all stays. Final availability and terms appear in the booking engine.
