MSU’s spring 2025 commencement is scheduled for Friday, May 9. Check the university’s commencement information for your graduate’s ceremony assignment, arrival instructions, accessibility arrangements, and any college celebrations. Families visiting in another year should use the current university calendar rather than reuse archived dates.
Build a comfortable family itinerary
Consider arriving the day before the ceremony so travel delays do not dictate the celebration. Choose a meeting place for photographs, decide how everyone will reach campus, and leave generous time around the ceremony. A quiet breakfast together can be just as memorable as a full evening out.
Reserve the celebration meal
Book a restaurant once you know your party size and ceremony schedule. If the family prefers a simple meal at your stay, our kitchens offer flexibility. Any gathering beyond registered overnight guests should be discussed with the property manager in advance; lodging occupancy is not an event capacity.
